Delete your Lalia Cafe account

App: Lalia Cafe · Developer: Abukar Abukar · Updated September 27, 2026

You can delete your Lalia Cafe account and its associated data at any time, in any of the three ways below. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone.

Option 1: In the app

  1. Open Lalia Cafe on your iPhone, iPad or Android device and sign in.
  2. Go to the You tab.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Enter your password to confirm (accounts that use Google sign-in type the confirmation word shown instead), then tap Delete my account.

Option 2: On the website

  1. Go to www.laliacafe.com and sign in.
  2. Open You and choose Delete account.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Option 3: By email

If you can't sign in, email abukarshegow@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my Lalia Cafe account". We'll confirm and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your account: email address, password hash, sign-in method and account creation date.
  • Your subscription record (plan, status, renewal date and billing identifiers), the record linking an App Store or Google Play purchase to your email, and your daily talk-time counters.
  • Your service usage records: per-account daily and monthly counts of AI requests and the last time the account was active.
  • For subscriptions bought on the website: any active Stripe subscription is cancelled immediately and your Stripe customer record, including your saved card, is deleted.
  • On the device you delete from: your lesson history and summaries, transcripts, vocabulary, flashcards, reading history, saved articles and settings. (This data is stored only on your device - never on our servers. On other devices where you're signed in, it's erased when you sign out, or you can uninstall the app.)

We never record your voice during lessons, so there are no recordings to delete.

What is kept

  • Recent-activity log: a rolling list of the 300 most recent AI requests across all users (feature, model and time - no lesson content), used to monitor the service. Older entries are overwritten automatically, usually within days.
  • Anonymous totals: platform-wide monthly usage totals that contain no personal information.
  • Content reports you submitted, kept for up to one year for moderation.
  • Billing records held by Apple, Google or Stripe (for example receipts and transaction history), which they keep under their own policies and legal obligations.

Subscribed through the App Store or Google Play? Deleting your account ends your access but does notcancel the subscription with Apple or Google. Cancel it in your device's subscription settings (App Store: Settings > your name > Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions) so you aren't billed again.
